Experiential education on a school trip in Brandenburg at the lake

Give children the opportunity to experience nature up close with our wilderness adventure experience. The two-to-three-day itinerary gives students the freedom to explore various plant and animal species and learn some basic outdoor survival skills. This adventure is designed to be both a fun excursion and a team building experience.

• Duration: 2 or 3 days (day 1: afternoon and evening activities, days 2 & 3: morning and afternoon activities)

Why fly halfway across the globe if there is plenty wilderness to explore on our doorstep? Our vast terrain is home to exciting animal species, moors and swamps, and plenty more, making it the ideal starting point for our safari tour. Join us for a fun adventure through the moorland and trace hidden treasures in the forest.

Give in to your sense of adventure and explore the woodlands. Carrying a backpack loaded with a sieve, a magnifying glass, a spade, and whatever else you might need for an exciting adventure, we will set out on our exploration tour.

From experience, kids love to play in and around water. Making use of Groß Väter See, the lake adjoining our terrain, we offer a fun water expedition tour. Equipped with binoculars, a landing net, and a magnifying glass, our aim is to facilitate the exploration of the nature in and around the lake.

Do you have what it takes to be an archer? Practice your archery and concentration skills on our archery range. Our range provides a safe environment for kids to practice archery and compete against each other.

• Target audience: school children from the 3^rd grade
• Duration: 1,5 hours for a group up to 16 people, 2 x 1,5 hours for larger groups

Enjoy a relaxing evening with you family or travel group by the bonfire. Simply reserve one of the various firepits dotted around our terrain. Reservation of the firepits is free of charge, their use, which must respect the current forest fire danger level, is the responsibility of a supervising adult.

• You are free to gather your own campfire wood – free of charge
• Dried and chopped campfire wood: 1 pannier 15,00 € (please order ahead of time)

• Campfire twist bread: from 0,60 € (please order ahead of time, you must gather your own sticks for cooking the bread)

We offer numerous other activities on our extensive grounds for a small fee.

• Night owl trip through the dark forest – from elementary school for at least 16 people, 2 hours, 9,00 € per person (supervisors free)
• Forest Olympics – an obstacle course through the forest – suitable up to 7th grade under the responsibility of the supervisors, 1 hour, 1,00 € per person (supervisors free)
• Herbal pillow workshop – make your own fragrant feel-good pillow – from Kindergarten for at least 16 people, 1.5 hours,
  7,00 € per person (carers free)
• Forest researcher backpack with research material and game ideas – to borrow for a small donation
• Terrain rally to get to know the area – at the own responsibility of the supervisors, 0,20 € per copy
• Disco with our DJ – for at least 20 people, usually on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, 4,00 € per person (supervisors free)
• Minigolf – at the supervisors own responsibility, 1,00 € per person per day
• Bowling on the in-house bowling alley – 2 lanes, 12,00 € per hour

We offer various activities facilitated by experiential educators at “Schattenspringer”. You can book the following activities:

• (“Wir sind ein Team”) We are a Team – a climbing activity.
• (“Teamtraining auf dem Wasser”) Team training water activity – includes raft building activities.
• (“Ein starkes Team”) A strong team – includes a geocaching experience tour.
